Since its foundation, the Komi Republican Philharmonic, which unites talented performers and unique teams, is an integral and important part of the cultural life of the Komi Republic and the North-West region. Preserving cultural traditions and serving musical art, the Philharmonic presents comedians of national works, domestic and foreign classical music, works of modern authors.

Comey Republican Philharmonic was formed on September 1, 1940 as the Concerto-Estride Bureau. It included Comey national ensemble of song and dance (now - the State ensemble of song and dance of the Komi Republic named after Viktor Morozov). «Asya kaya» (Morning Dawn), a year and a half of existence has already become quite famous; a brass orchestra, symphony orchestra, circus and concert brigades. The staff of the creative composition of KEB numbered 118 people. The main task of the new cultural institution was to promote the best examples of domestic and world culture, the works of coma authors and folk art.

For the first month of the work of the brigade and teams of the institution held touring performances in the regions of the republic. On October 5, 1940, the first concert season was opened in the Komi Hall of the State Pedagogical Institute. Due to the lack of its own building, KEB was housed in the premises of the Comey Drama Theater (now - the State Order of Friendship of Peoples Academic Drama Theater named after Savin).

In the 1950s, the first tours of KEB teams outside the Komi ASSR took place. Also at this time, the first records of soloists and groups were released. 1956 became a key year in the history of the concert institution: the concert and pop bureau was reorganized into the Komi Republican Philharmonic.

In 1976, Comey Republican Philharmonic found the building, which is located to this day. In 2000-2002, the building was reconstructed, after which it acquired a modern look.
