National Music and Drama Theatre of the Republic of Komi — Syktyvkar Drama Theatre, a former folklore theatre founded in 1992. Theatre performances are performed in a coma language with simultaneous translation into Russian.

The National Music and Drama Theatre of the Republic of Komi was established in 1992 by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of Komi ASSR. It is the only professional theater in Komi Republic, all of which are performed in the national language of the Komi people. The theater was created as a folklore theater, which aims to preserve the identity of national culture and national language. In August 2005, by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Komi, the Folklore Theatre was renamed the National Musical and Drama Theater of the Republic of Komi.

The theater puts performances on the works of comedians and writers, uses the best examples of classical comedy drama in all existing genres, not limited to folklore materials. Along with comi classics in the theater are the plays of Finnish, Hungarian and Russian authors translated into comi language.
